ALL THAT!
Tonight you can see ALL THAT!, an amazing clogging group, on America's Got Talent. Be sure to vote for them. They helped my sister queen, Emily Wood, choreograph her talent. You can learn more about them on facebook,

Misses of Missouri Send Off Party!
Yesterday, I traveled out to Hannibal, Missouri to help out with the send off party for my little sister queens who will be competing at Misses of Missouri! I had a blast helping them with mock interviews, walking, talent and much more. They will do an awesome job representing Heartland.
Summer Update!
Recently, I had to get a bone scan because my doctor thought that I had stress fracture in my hip! Thankfully, this was not the case; the doctor thinks that I just over used my hip with basketball, weight lifting, and Running Club. He told me to rest up, and that is what I have been doing. In my spare time I made a scrapbook for myself and my sister queen to make sure that we remember all the amazing details of Miss Missouri week.

Another volunteer opp
If you are in our area, here is another chance to help out,
Email I received:
Email I received:
AFL-CIO Community Services is preparing to
distribute shoes for our Soles For Christ Shoe Program in August. We
are in need of volunteers and are asking if you would consider helping
us out. Last year over 1,000 pairs of shoes were given out to students
so you can imagine how many hands it takes to get all those feet fitted
with new shoes. Please keep in mind that this is a very busy, hands-on
volunteer job. There will be hundreds of people here and you will need
to be able to bend and be up and down a lot. We will have a few
positions available at the registration table for those who would like
to volunteer but need to be seated.
The schedule to organize and give out shoes is as follows:
Friday, August 3
9am - 1pm - Set up and organize the shoes
Monday, August 6
8am - 4pm – Register, size, fit and distribute shoes
Tuesday, August 7
8am – 6pm – Register, size, fit and distribute shoes
If
you would be willing to help us out during any of the above times,
please email me with the times that will work for you. If you prefer
you can call me at the number below to schedule a time. After I get
everyone scheduled I will email a master work schedule and more
information to all of the volunteers.
Thanks
to all who have volunteered for us in the past and thanks in advance to
those who may be considering volunteering. I can guarantee you will
see lots of smiles on faces as the kids get their new shoes. It’s a
wonderful program!!!

Preparing for the Doll Opening at the musuem
St Joseph Museums Inc recently took in the doll collection from the Society of Memories, and that is a bunch of dolls. So a grand opening was held, and a fund-raiser for the Doll Club. My mom was in charge of crafts, so my sister and I helped prepare a bunch of crafts for the July 7 opening.
Each girl made and outfit for their doll and got a pair of doll gloves to decorate, plus tea tuffets and a mug/saucer.

A reception was held after the craft event. Museum volunteers set a pink table full of pink cupcakes and pink lemonade. |
