Apple Blossom Run

Instead of being in the Apple Blossom Parade, which I have done several times, this year I got to run the Apple Blossom 5K that was put on by the local YMCA. Ann Marie also ran the 5K with me and placed first overall with a time of 17:15!! She was flying! :-) I finished the race with 7th overall, 1st in my age division, and 3rd in the women's group. The community was very supportive that day; people were cheering and yelling things like, "Girl power" when I ran by. Later, I enjoyed watching my sister in the parade and got a side walk artist to write Apple Blossom Jr. Queen on a sidewalk square for her! It was a great day bonding with my family and Ann Marie!! :-)
